MUSIC TO MY EARS

'Cats like mozart, ray charles and kanye west are known for having a good ear when it comes to music. What can i say, its a god given talent. But it doesn't take an expert to appreciate fresh tunes from the likes f n.e.r.d and the cool kids, whose respective albums dropped today. Its simply good music. Fun, creative, good music.

N.E.R.D.'s newest album, "seeing sounds" is a lock to be a number one album in the charts in my opinion. The virginia based, experimental hip-hop group prides themselves for creating music differently in a good way, and this original style is mirrored by most of the tracks in this album. A must buy, fo' sho.

Chi-town's own the cool kids also released their newest album today entitled the bake sale. "Mickey rocks" and "Chuck Inglish" make up the super duo, whose primary influences were 80's hip-hop music. Two thumbs up.

Another fine tune that i can listen to for the rest of my life - laker cheers! Lakers won game 3 of the nba finals, 87-81, earlier tonight against the celtics to pull within 1-2 in their best of seven series. Kobe, who's back to his usual mvp-self, scored 36 points to lead all scorers. Sasha "the machine" vujacic scored 20 points and provided a much needed spark off the bench. Pau gasol (below) did "some" work. Whew.

On court, the laker stars did their thing. Off court, other stars were also busy handling their own business. Check out this photo of kanye west and spike lee at the laker game. Could there be a kanye-spike project in the works?
