HERE WE GO... AGAIN

All my life, I've been known to be notorious when it comes to RPG (Role Playing Games) video games. Trust me, I go waaaay back from the first Pokemon game in '97. WOW, right? Well what can I say.. I still feel the need to satisfy the inner "dork-geek-nerd" in me. Lately I found myself hooked, once again, to yet another RPG addiction - FINAL FANTASY IV for the DS. So far, I've probably spent around 5 hours.. (who am I kidding, I lost track already).. playing through the first few quests of the game. Geez... There goes my social life away...

ALL HAIL THE KING

Kanye West's "808s and Heartbreaks", which dropped today, is once again the number ONE album on iTunes (Yeah, nobody saw this coming). Considering that today was an off day for me (had nothing to do really), copping the album was definitely a priority. But I didn't. Why? ...



This is WHY. As part of a special christmas packaging, 808s and Heartbreaks will be re-released on DEC 16th with a new album cover art, featuring KAWS.

ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END

(I hate that saying) Season 4 of the HBO hit series, ENTOURAGE, just ended earlier tonight. F***! What are we suppose to watch now 'til summer next year's season 5? Honestly other than sports, this show is the one and only thing on tv that's worth watching and re-watching, over and over again. Non-homo.

Finally, the wait is over. Kanye's highly anticipated fourth album, 808s & HeartbreaK will be in stores this coming Monday. Nice.

FIRE IN THE HOLE

THIS IS SCARY S*** NO DOUBT... Its now 6pm and the area where we live at is currently surrounded by at least three wildfires (Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills and Brea). We've been watching the news pretty much all afternoon long, fingers crossed as to hopefully not hear an evac call from the fire department. As you all know by now, this infamous OC fire has been called the "FREEWAY COMPLEX FIRE" - it has currently destroyed hundreds of homes but the most surprising news by far isn't really about that at all - some people still had the sick nerve to steal s*** from those same burning houses. Are you f***** kiddin me???

A KID NAMED CUDI

Through decades, hip hop music has evolved creatively to adapt to the current listening crowd. Presently, this specific wavelength of the hip hop spectrum is all about INDIE HIP HOP. The likes of wiz khalifa, wale, the cool kids - they all bring something fresh to the table. Here's another name - KID CUDI - a Cleveland rapper with a killer sing-song flow. His first big break was at South by Southwest in 2007. His first single blazed the iTunes charts. Then came his sick mixtape. Now a 30-city world tour. Indeed, its nice to be "cudi" these days.

Carved and molded from the talented hands of reknowned Indian artist Sudarsan Pattnaik, the "BIG FIGHT" is a marvelous sand sculpture featuring United States presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama at a beach in Puri... another perfect example that this year's elections not only affects our beloved country but also the others who look up to us. Which brings me to my next point... TODAY IS ELECTION DAY (in case you didn't know, Un-American) so make sure you vote and vote for the right one! (Seriously, the guy on the right not left, RIGHT)

MOTOWN ANSWER?

Well that's what Pistons GM Joe Dumars (left) thought when he pulled the trigger for today's surprising trade in the NBA. ALLEN IVERSON, a future HOF and a proven baller, was acquired by the Detroit Pistons from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for all-star guard Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess and some guy. This move really raised a lot of eyebrows, including myself, since it was one of those "where-the-heck-did-this-came-from" player movements. Pretty exciting if you ask me... I mean shakeups, in general, are - perfect example that change is the only permanent object in this world.

But amidst all the star talk, there's something else that's making a lot of buzz out there. PRIMITIVE is a local retail boutique in Encino guaranteed to satisfy all your streetwear, skate and sneaker needs. Well this store doesn't really lack star power at all, thanks to the presence (and financial investment) of co-owner Paul Rodriguez Jr aka "P-Rod". Take that Sheckler.
