Why are you so paranoid?

For some reason, i can't seem to stop writing about kanye's 808s album (maybe 'coz it's awesome, i dunno). If you've been following this blog for sometime now, you prolly remember a few blogs before, during and after the release of the album. Videos. Events. Music charts movement. Why can't we all just get 'a long'board?

Now this has definitely been a while. Looks like this bad boy needs a lil' bit of a makeover. I've been thinking of getting a new sector 9 board but money's tight right now so a few changes on this old one should be good for now. Just wait and see how it turns out. I'll post new pictures soon as its done.

Leilow's Tikis and Taboos

There's always something about "streetwear fashion" and "hawaii" that simply attracts me to whatever comes out everytime you cross the two. I dunno. Can't really explain it. I guess it's just.. cool. This must-have features an embroidered traditional "tiki" with contrast brim stitching and a black/lime printed "taboo" cap. Ooooh, i want.

iWant

Our (my) addiction to the iPhone is undeniably extreme. I mean, how could you not love this tech must-have? It's cool, hip and useful. Plus there's an app for everything.

So what could be better? Ha. You shouldn't have asked. The new iPhone 3G-S drops on june 19th. The new features are simply... wow. Oh and for those who won't (can't) get this new one, the free software update is available on the 17th so make to at least get that, you weak sauce.

Aaaaaah. I remember those days. When we were still (big time) suckers.. err i meant fans of TH. But seriously though, i don't think people have any idea how big of an influence the hundreds is to us. HUGE. Hmm.. feels like writing about 'em one of these upcoming days. Maybe i should. Maybe i will. Just maybe.

Oh Canada, Eh?

(NOTE: The following "event" happened about a week ago but i just couldn't get over it. Plus, i didn't had time to write about it so here it is.. )

If you're a fan, you probably know that U.L.A.M has been in the block for only about less than a year now. We are on shelves for a few stores and our online store had only been up and running for mere months. Business had been slow lately but part of growing is catching breaks and bumping to a few surprises on the way.

One early morning, luis wakes me up and says "dude, a girl from canada left me a message about her order!". We were clueless at first then we figured it out - the website. So we checked our order list and lo and behold.. an $80 purchase from a fan in canada. We were stoked. No emails or alerts whatsoever about it that's why we had no clue (looks unprofessional but trust me we ain't). I called her back immediately, apologized and in a matter of minutes, shipped her order including stickers and a free "complimentary" tee.

Whoa. That was amazing. Another surreal moment in U.L.A.M's "making the brand".

Mamba On the Loose

Kobe goes for 40. Celebrities left and right. Big laker home win. Another game 1 victory for a phil jackson coached team. Aaaaahhh.. feels just right. 1-0 . This year's finals looks like a more exciting one than last year's version. Only because the lakers are the favorites to win this time. Yessssurrr.

Just kiddin'. No "kumon" for me. But summer school at CSUF is i guess as bad as that. 3 hours a day.. 3 times a week.. 6 weeks. Damn.
